Job Description

About Us

The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Solana is a high performance blockchain that can deliver a fast and friendly user experience, without sacrificing security. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information and value freely around the world. We are looking for talented people who are willing to jump right in and use their expertise to help the ecosystem build.

The Opportunity

Solana Foundation is seeking a highly driven Senior Data Analyst. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, a deep curiosity for uncovering insights, and the ability to turn complex datasets into compelling narratives that drive decision-making.

At Solana Foundation, we facilitate development across the ecosystem — from the core protocol and infrastructure to developer tooling and applications. This role will help transform ecosystem and blockchain data into actionable insights that improve product decisions, ecosystem health, and user experiences. Your analyses will influence how teams measure network performance, evaluate protocol changes, and understand ecosystem trends.

There are enormous possibilities for Solana to facilitate multiple trillion-dollar industries across markets, payments, and asset management. This role has the potential to grow alongside the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale blockchain and ecosystem datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights in order to keep up with frontier industry trends
  • Partner closely with engineers, product teams, and ecosystem stakeholders to define metrics and answer high-impact business and protocol questions
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Develop and maintain reliable datasets and analytical models to support decision-making across the organization
  • Help define and track key ecosystem metrics such as decentralization scores, transaction inclusion performance, validator health, and network economics
  • Perform exploratory analysis to evaluate protocol updates, ecosystem initiatives, and user behavior trends
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across reporting and analytical workflows
  • Document methodologies, metrics definitions, and analytical processes to support transparency and knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large and complex datasets
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with modern analytics tooling and data warehouses
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Allium, Dune, Hex, or crypto data-powered BI tools
  • Familiarity with blockchain technologies, including transaction data, smart contracts, and consensus mechanisms
  • Experience working with big data platforms and analytical tooling such as ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery
  • Strong understanding of experimentation, metrics design, and statistical analysis
  • Ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and business audiences
  • Experience with Solana data and the Solana ecosystem is especially beneficial

Nice to Have

  • Experience contributing to open source projects
  • Experience applying AI/LLM workflows to analytics or operational use cases
  • Familiarity with Python or Rust for data analysis and tooling
  • Experience working in fast-moving startup or crypto environments
