The Role

As a Data Analyst at CAEX, you will be responsible for analyzing data to support product, operations, and business functions. This position focuses on defining data logic, analyzing transaction and user behavior, and building dashboards and reports that drive organizational decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement new metrics as needed by stakeholders; verify consistency of standardized metric definitions and detect and report discrepancies between teams.
• Analyze transaction behavior, deposit/withdrawal flows or cryptocurrency assets, and user activities to detect anomalies early.
• Work with Risk/Compliance teams to build, verify, and refine rules and signals for monitoring systems, early warning, and investigation.
• Build intuitive, easy-to-understand dashboard systems with high decision-making value.
• Automate periodic reports and support teams to leverage and use data effectively.
• Write and optimize SQL/Python queries; develop lightweight pipelines using SQL/dbt (nice to have).
• Coordinate with Tech teams to ensure source data (trading, wallet, banking, etc.) is provided completely, accurately, and in correct format; log and track data quality issues.
• Work directly with Operations, Product, and Business teams to deeply understand business problems and translate them into corresponding data logic.
• Proactively analyze and propose insights for process and product improvements, going beyond simply answering requests.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst; experience in Fintech, Banking, Crypto, Trading, Payments, or E-commerce is an advantage.
• Proficiency in SQL (window functions, CTEs, complex joins, query optimization on large datasets); proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis.
• Experience designing dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent) and working directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset; ability to work well in environments with incomplete data and rapid requirement changes.
• Understanding of trading flows, wallet/ledger, or AML/fraud detection is a significant advantage.
• Fluent English.
