About the Role

On-Chain Data Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large volumes of on-chain transaction data to identify fund flows, abnormal activities, and potential investigative leads.
  • Reconstruct comprehensive fund-flow networks based on on-chain transaction relationships and establish traceable evidence chains.
  • Prepare professional investigation reports in English for case assessment, investigative analysis, and international cooperation.
  • Support investigations by conducting fund tracing, address attribution, transaction behavior analysis, and other blockchain forensic activities.
  • Design analytical approaches based on case requirements and continuously improve automated analysis workflows and tools.

Requirements

  • Experience or demonstrated capability in blockchain data analysis, digital asset investigations, or blockchain forensics.
  • Proficiency in using blockchain node services and related methods to efficiently retrieve and process raw on-chain data.
  • Proficiency in using Address Labels and transaction behavior analysis to identify and analyze transaction entities, including centralized exchanges (CEXs).
  • Ability to analyze complex on-chain transaction relationships, including fund movements within smart contracts, and develop scripts to automate transaction analysis and generate transaction relationship graphs.
  • Strong understanding of major blockchain ecosystems, including EVM, SVM, and Move VM, with the ability to identify and analyze transactions across networks such as Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana, and Sui.
  • Ability to independently read and understand English technical documentation.
  • Excellent written English skills, with the ability to independently prepare professional investigation reports.

Technical Requirements

  • Familiarity with on-chain transaction and fund-flow analysis platforms such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Arkham, and BlockSec.
  • Experience researching or analyzing Swaps, Bridges, or DeFi protocols, with the ability to investigate complex and internal transaction relationships using blockchain analytics tools.
  • Experience independently developing scripts or analytical tools to support automated and large-scale transaction analysis.
  • Understanding of common hacking techniques, illicit fund-flow patterns, and on-chain obfuscation methods, including money laundering route structuring, anonymization techniques involving mixers such as Tornado Cash, cross-chain laundering, and address obfuscation and anti-tracing techniques.
  • Experience in Web3 security, offensive/defensive security, vulnerability research, or on-chain security research is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience participating in international law enforcement cooperation projects or digital asset investigations.
  • Ability to work effectively on high-intensity investigations while maintaining a high level of accuracy when handling complex and large-scale datasets.
  • Fluent spoken English, particularly for candidates who can directly participate in international cooperation, case discussions, and cross-border communications.

Compensation & Working Arrangement

Salary Range: HKD 35,000 – 55,000 per month (negotiable)

Working Arrangement: Remote work can be considered.
