The Role

We are looking for a Senior Trading Data Analyst to be our first dedicated analyst for trading. You will not be executing routine tasks in spreadsheets. You will have the trust to lay the foundation for a team that will gradually grow around you. We are not looking for a hardcore trader shouting into phones at the exchange all day. We need an analytical mind with a background in trading—someone who understands data but also knows what intraday trading and flexibility mean, perhaps because you have supported a trading desk or worked as an analyst at a company operating in the energy market.

Responsibilities

• Build foundations: You will be the first in the team with this focus. Your task is to connect the world of data, analytics, and trading and figure out how to scale it all.
• Find opportunities in data: You will conduct business and data analysis on topics that span the entire company, from developers to management.
• Test algorithms live: You will have hands-on involvement in preparing and testing algorithmic strategies, A/B testing, and intraday market analysis.
• Hands-on work: We are not theoreticians. You will directly connect speculative trading with management of flexibility from renewable sources and large batteries.

Requirements

• Data and business experience: You are a senior data or business analyst with roughly 5+ years of experience. You can take a heap of raw data, clean it, and extract clear business decisions from it.
• Energy sector experience: You have direct experience from the energy sector or an energy company. Perhaps you wrote code for virtual power plants, modeled bidding strategies, or worked on grid support services. Unfortunately, just basics are not enough here—we actually want to learn something from you.
• Trading background: You do not need to have traded billions, but the fundamentals are necessary.
• Startup mindset: Fast pace, changes in direction, and occasional chaos do not throw you off. We want someone independent who sees a problem and solves it, rather than waiting for approval from three managers.
• Tech stack: You use Python and SQL at production level. Not a one-off script—you write clean, maintainable code that works in production and can be handed off to others.
• Technical thinking: You understand the path to production. You know what it means to move an analysis from a notebook to a production environment and how data pipelines and orchestration (Dagster) work. The team builds and operates pipelines; you speak the same language with them, can articulate what your analysis needs for deployment, and understand what is realistic.
