The Role

Financial Data BI & Modeling

• Independently extract, clean, and model data from data warehouses and other sources; build reusable financial data models and metric frameworks.
• Design and maintain self-service analytical reports and business dashboards to enable management to independently access key operating metrics.
• Govern metric definition consistency—ensuring each metric has a single, company-wide definition and is maintained as a trusted data asset.

Financial Close & Data Extraction Support

• Support standardized data extraction requirements during monthly and quarterly close cycles, coordinating with the finance-business platform and data warehouse pipelines.
• Convert high-frequency, recurring data extraction and reconciliation tasks into automated pipelines, reducing manual effort during the close process.

Note: This role is responsible for designing standardized data extraction pipelines, rather than providing ad hoc, reactive manual data support.

AI-Native Ways of Working

• Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, GPT) by default to improve efficiency, including supporting the development of data extraction/cleaning scripts, accelerating modeling and reporting, and automating repetitive tasks.
• Use AI to scale output and document effective approaches as reusable team practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above, with 7+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, financial data, or related fields.
• Strong logical reasoning and abstraction skills, with solid business acumen.
• Proficiency in SQL and financial modeling.
• Understanding of fundamental finance/accounting concepts—including financial statement structures, common account categories, and financial close processes—or a strong interest in developing deep expertise in finance.
• Hands-on user of AI tools.
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and accountable for data accuracy.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience in finance, FP&A, or business/operating analysis.
• Experience building data platforms, data warehouses, or financial systems from scratch (0-to-1).
• Experience in crypto, fintech, or high-growth industries.
