Why Sui Data Is Different

Sui Analytics Is Not EVM Analytics

Sui's data model breaks the approach that works on EVM and Solana. Few people have solved it. The ones who have are already shipping.

No curated tables

Sui has five curated tables on Dune. None cover lending, perps, or protocol state, so every figure gets built from raw events.

The most-cited Navi dashboard on Dune has been reading Suilend's contract the whole time. Nobody noticed until we rebuilt it from primitives.

State lives inside objects

Protocol state sits inside typed objects, not account mappings, and each protocol encodes its own decimals and interest accounting. On Navi, missing one index left TVL under-reporting by 5 to 11% while looking correct.

Rebuilt Navi's lending markets across all four markets and 48 reserves after the popular reference dashboard was found to be querying the wrong protocol's contract. The pipeline discovers markets from on-chain events, pulls live reserve state through Sui RPC mid-query, and prices assets with Navi's own oracle. Reconciles to Navi's live figures within 0.05%. Navi shared the rebuild publicly.

You can, and you might fork a wrong one. The most popular Navi dashboard on Dune queries Suilend's contract. On a chain with no decoded tables, verifying which package a query actually reads is the core skill, and it's the first thing we check.
Yes. That exact problem splits Navi and Suilend into two different extraction paths. Where events carry protocol-native USD, we use it and verify against stablecoin flows. Where they don't, we reconstruct pricing from the protocol's own oracle or from Sui DEX trades. Missing prices fail loudly as flagged nulls, never silently as zeros.
Both. Lending (Navi, Suilend) and perps (Bluefin) are live. The extraction patterns transfer to any Sui protocol emitting events: DEXs, CDPs, liquid staking, vaults.
