About Us

Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you're ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, we're building an elite team applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems.

We're looking for bold thinkers, sharp problem-solvers, and builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency—it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

About the Role

The Credit team focuses on designing and operating credit card and banking experiences that help customers access financial products safely and responsibly. The team combines data, technology, and customer insights to reduce risk while maintaining a seamless customer experience, and plays a critical role in protecting both customers and the business. This is a group that values analytical rigor, ownership, and thoughtful decision-making.

As a Credit Business Analyst, you will design, build, and monitor fraud defenses across our banking and credit products. You'll use data to identify emerging fraud risks, translate insights into actionable strategies, and work closely with product, operations, and engineering partners to implement solutions. Your work will directly influence fraud loss outcomes while ensuring customers can confidently use Robinhood's financial products.

This role is based in our New York, NY; Menlo Park, CA; or Washington, DC office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community.

Responsibilities

  • Use data, technology, and customer insights to design initiatives that reduce fraud across our banking and credit products
  • Partner closely with product managers, operations teams, and engineers to build and execute fraud defense strategies that protect customers and the business
  • Seek out relevant data and information to independently solve complex, ambiguous fraud problems
  • Own the development, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of fraud defenses, using performance signals and feedback loops to iterate and refine strategies
  • Develop and execute fraud strategies that balance risk reduction with a positive customer experience
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress clearly to senior stakeholders, tailoring insights to the audience and driving alignment

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience using data to inform decisions
  • 5–7 years of experience building and leading credit and/or banking strategies that delivered measurable results
  • Hands-on experience using SQL and at least one statistical or programming language such as R or Python (e.g., Pandas, scikit-learn)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex analyses and focus on the most impactful areas
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on banking or payments fraud problems

Benefits

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Best-in-class benefits including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Lifestyle wallet—a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces
