The Role
We are hiring entrepreneurial and quantitatively-skilled graduates with a background in economics and mathematics who are interested in applying their skills to identify, investigate and analyze fraud in various domains, including finance, healthcare and cryptocurrencies.
Responsibilities
- Work as a data detective to examine potentially fraudulent patterns
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify opportunities to detect fraud and identify fraud detection methods
- Build, clean, compile and analyze datasets to find insights and fraud patterns using econometrics, statistics and other forms of analyses
- Build scripts, algorithms and code to process and analyze large datasets effectively and efficiently
- Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- PhD background in Economics required
- Finance and Mathematics background a plus
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, R, or other scripting languages
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail with big-picture understanding
- Ability to work well in teams
- Highest ethical standards
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not available)
