Executive Reporting - BI Analyst
NAGA
Job Description
About Us
At NAGA, we are revolutionizing finance by making trading and investing accessible to everyone with advanced tools that give power to all. We are a vibrant, diverse community of visionaries and problem-solvers fueled by curiosity and collaboration. We have a start-up DNA and a corporate mindset — fast and flexible like a start-up, but also committed to helping our people develop and thrive within our company.
The Role
We are hiring an Executive Reporting - BI Analyst to join our BI Analytics & Reporting team. You will be the second person on the reporting bench alongside our Power BI Developers, with day-one ownership of the daily and weekly executive cadence: the CEO daily KPI pack published at 09:00 CET, the C-Suite weekly scorecard, partner-facing reports and selected departmental dashboards. You will work closely with the Data Platform & Engineering team to make sure every KPI you publish is computed from the governed Microsoft Fabric semantic layer — never a parallel source. You will be the go-to person for the CEO for reporting templates and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Own and publish the CEO daily KPI pack from the Executive Power BI workspace, live before 09:00 CET (T+1) — every single day, no exceptions.
- Build and maintain the C-Suite weekly scorecard, coordinating commentary sign-off across Trading, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, CSR and Ops/CS.
- Design and maintain departmental dashboards (Marketing, Finance, Trading, CSR, Compliance) — top 3 KPIs plus drill-down, tailored to what each department actually uses.
- Build and own the Power BI semantic layer on our Microsoft Fabric Gold warehouse — DAX measures aligned to the canonical KPI Dictionary, end to end.
- Configure and audit Row-Level Security on every dataset touching client data, partnering with IT on Entra group mappings (Finance, departmental, and external partner groups).
- Translate high-level requests from management into clear technical specs and ready-to-use reporting — and push back when a request bypasses the governed data model.
- Automate refreshes, alerts, and distribution so decision-makers always have live insight, not stale exports.
- Be the person who defines what "good" looks like: which KPIs matter, how dashboards should be structured, and how data tells a clear story to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3-5 years background as a Financial, Reporting, or Sales Analyst within the fintech/trading industry — someone who has worked hands-on with performance metrics (PnL, Business/BU-level KPIs) before moving into BI.
- Progressed from that analyst foundation into a BI role, bridging the communication between business and development teams.
- Strong SQL, both for ad-hoc analysis and for building the semantic layer underneath your reports.
- Proven experience owning a recurring executive pack (daily/weekly/monthly) under a hard SLA — you know exactly what happens when a 09:00 publish slips, and you build to prevent it.
- Comfortable owning a KPI end-to-end: business definition → DAX → executive consumption → being questioned on it by leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management: you can sit with a Head of Department, scope what they actually need, push back constructively, and ship something they will use.
- Professional English, written and spoken — able to translate high-level management asks into decision-ready reporting.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a regulated industry — CFD / FX brokerage, banking, asset management, insurance. Familiarity with CySEC, MiFID II, or equivalent.
- Microsoft Fabric semantic-model authoring with awareness of Direct Lake, Import, and DirectQuery tradeoffs.
- Power BI Embedded or an equivalent external-reporting product for partner-facing delivery.
Technical Stack
Power BI (semantic models, DAX, deployment pipelines, RLS, embedded), Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Eventhouse semantic models), SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, GitHub, and external reporting tools for partner delivery.
Location
Cyprus, Remote.
