AML Analyst – Crypto OTC
Gravity Team
Job Description
Trading since 2017, Gravity Team is one of the leading crypto market makers and liquidity providers, with cumulative trading volumes to date in excess of $400 billion. We provide 24/7 crypto liquidity to 1,400+ crypto-asset pairs across 40+ exchanges located in over 15 countries worldwide, making ~1% of global spot trading volume. Having established ourselves as a top-tier market maker, we're now building out a new institutional OTC desk, moving beyond order book liquidity into large block trades executed directly with institutional clients.
We're looking for an AML Analyst to join our OTC compliance function as client onboarding volume scales fast: from roughly one or two new clients a week to 30 to 40 onboardings in the pipeline at any time, with average transaction sizes in the millions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Own client onboarding (KYB/KYC) end to end in Sumsub: completeness checks, information requests, client follow-ups and escalation of finished packages for external review
- Act as the four-eyes review on AI agent output: status updates, client communications and screening rationales
- Review AML, sanctions and PEP screening hits and draft false-positive rationales for sign-off; run periodic re-screening and ongoing due diligence
- Perform wallet screening and whitelist checks and support transaction monitoring reviews (TRM tooling, training provided)
- Keep case records in Jira complete and regulator-ready, and help clear the KYC review backlog
- Help pilot, then run, our AI-assisted KYC review process, and automate your own workflows to grow capacity
- Support preparation for the annual external AML audit and follow-up remediation
WHAT WE EXPECT
- 1 to 3 years in AML, KYC or financial crime compliance at a bank, EMI or PSP, fintech or crypto exchange
- Solid grasp of AML/CFT typologies and the risk-based approach
- Genuine affinity for AI and automation: you actively look for ways to automate your own work and build workflows that increase capacity
- Proactive, reliable and precise, comfortable owning processes in a small team
- Strong written English and clean documentation habits
- Working hours with significant CET overlap
NICE TO HAVE
- Crypto or VASP experience, for example onboarding or transaction monitoring at an exchange
- Knowledge of crypto money laundering typologies such as mixers, chain hopping and high-risk services
- Familiarity with Sumsub, TRM Labs or similar blockchain analytics, and Jira
- Exposure to the Swiss AML framework (AMLA, FINMA guidance) or the EU AML directives
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
You'll get direct exposure to institutional-scale crypto OTC clients, most doing multi-million dollar volume, and a front-row seat on how a market maker actually runs onboarding, liquidity and risk. There's a clear growth path as compliance scales with the business, and real ownership over how AI reshapes AML operations here from day one.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE
- Engage with fast-moving, challenging, and unique business problems.
- Opportunity to participate in global crypto events with a tangible impact on the market.
- Salary of EUR 2000 - 3000 gross per month + motivating bonus tied to your performance.
- Flexible working hours & location, casual work attire and startup atmosphere.
- Extremely open idea meritocracy.
- Work alongside a small, highly talented team.
- Learning & Development budget to support your professional growth.
- A-class work environment at Zunda Towers offices with 360° view over Riga, free food & snacks, Wolt food allowance, Chef's lunches, state-of-the-art office design, and weekly physiotherapy sessions.
- Opportunity to do a workation from our other locations in Europe and Asia.
- Regular team events in Latvia and abroad.
- Health insurance from day one.
