Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise data warehouses, building data warehouse architecture that meets business requirements, implementing multi-source data integration, cleaning, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, and supporting enterprise data asset accumulation and governance.
• Develop BI reports across the full workflow, including requirement analysis, metric definition, data extraction, and visualization creation, designing interactive dashboards, regular reports, and specialized analysis reports to meet business department needs for data analysis and decision support, transforming raw data into actionable business insights.
• Conduct data development and script writing using Python or Java, optimize data processing workflows, improve data development efficiency and system performance, and resolve technical challenges in data development and BI report creation.
• Collaborate with business departments to clarify data requirements, provide data consulting and technical support, drive data-driven business decision-making, participate in data quality monitoring and optimization, establish data validation mechanisms, and handle data anomalies.
• Participate in cross-departmental collaborative projects using English as the working language, including coordinating with overseas teams, reviewing English technical documentation, and writing English technical reports to ensure smooth progress of data-related work across regions and teams.
• Monitor industry data technology trends, introduce appropriate technologies and methods, continuously optimize data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and BI report systems, and enhance data service capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Management, or related fields preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data BI development and data warehouse development, with complete hands-on experience in data warehouse construction and full-process BI report development; familiarity with data warehouse layered modeling (ODS, DW, DM layers) methodology preferred.
• Proficient in SQL, skilled in using mainstream databases (such as MySQL, Oracle, Hive, etc.), capable of complex SQL writing, optimization, and database performance tuning.
• Familiar with Python or Java programming languages, able to apply them for data processing, script development, and ETL process optimization, with relevant project experience.
• Proficient with BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, FineBI, etc.), able to independently complete full-process work from data extraction and cleaning to visualization report creation and dashboard design, familiarity with visualization design best practices preferred.
• Familiar with ETL tools (such as Kettle, Informatica, etc.), understanding the core logic and optimization methods of data extraction, transformation, and loading, capable of handling complex data integration scenarios.
• Strong business understanding ability, capable of quickly analyzing business requirements, converting business requirements into data development and BI report requirements, with metric system construction capability preferred.
• Familiarity with BigQuery ecosystem is a plus.
• English proficiency to serve as working language, able to fluently read English technical documentation, possess strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, independently conduct cross-departmental and cross-regional communication in English, and complete English email and technical report writing and meeting communication.
