Machine Learning Researcher

Role Summary

We're looking for a Middle/Senior ML Researcher in HFT, relocating to Dubai. Direct, measurable impact on PnL - a short distance between your hypothesis and its effect on the business. A strong compensation package including a profit share bonus and fully covered relocation.

About the Company

Our client is an international HFT fund with an established team and steadily growing PnL, looking for an ML Researcher to relocate to Dubai. The fund trades on crypto and traditional financial markets. This role is for you if you love formulating hypotheses, testing them quickly, and seeing the results of your research reflected in real numbers.

We're looking for candidates with the kind of mindset that generates unconventional ideas and quickly moves them to validation on real data, while independently writing clean, reusable code.

Responsibilities

• Generate and test ML hypotheses to improve trading strategies.
• Develop, validate, and maintain ML models with direct impact on strategy PnL.
• Adapt models for entry into new markets.
• Independently carry research through to working code - from prototype to production.

Requirements

• ML/Data Science experience: Middle - 3+ years, Senior - 5+ years.
• Degree from a strong technical university in ML or a related mathematical field.
• Solid command of applied mathematical statistics and probability theory.
• Python proficiency at the level of independently implementing algorithms: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib.
• Ability to write clean, readable code. Production experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with problems that have a clear numerical metric and a direct link to business revenue: trading, credit scoring, recommendation systems with revenue impact, competitive ML (Kaggle and similar).
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai and work full-time from the office.
• Fluent Russian.

Nice to Have

• C++ at least at a basic level.
• English B1 or above.
• Experience with tabular data and high-frequency time series.
• Experience with data infrastructure and ML pipelines.
