The Role
The Data & Payments Analyst supports the Compliance and Data & Payments functions by assisting with operational, administrative, and analytical activities related to transaction monitoring, KYT, Travel Rule processes, and payment operations. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, learning, and development, providing foundational support to ensure processes are completed efficiently, consistently, and in line with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
The role also supports Acquire and Redeem payment processes, internal reviews, alert handling, and case management, while progressively developing AML, blockchain, and investigative competencies under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Support Data & Payments and Compliance teams with operational and analytical tasks.
- Assist in Transaction Monitoring (TM), KYT, and Travel Rule processes.
- Support Acquire & Redeem payment processing activities.
- Perform basic case reviews and data validation.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
- Support alert triage and escalation processes.
- Assist in internal data requests and reporting.
- Support client and banking partner communications.
- Follow documented procedures and workflows.
- Contribute to internal projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop AML, blockchain, and investigative knowledge.
- Escalate issues, risks, and anomalies to senior team members.
- Maintain data accuracy and operational integrity.
- Other duties as assigned by senior team members.
Requirements
- Secondary education (University or College preferred).
- Experience in an analytical or investigative function.
- Introductory level AML experience including customer and enhanced due diligence (CDD/EDD), and AML/CTF/Sanctions investigations.
- Basic knowledge of blockchain technology (enhanced in the role).
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision, seeking guidance as required.
- Flexible as to working arrangement and hours.
- Confident in making decisions as delegated by the Data and Payments Lead and Head of AML.
- Excellent English communication skills.
